Providing Pastoral Principles

The Institute for Pastoral Theology provides comprehensive theological formation for the growing number of people engaged in ecclesial service. The General Catechetical Directory expresses the urgency of proper formation for pastoral action:

"Any pastoral activity for the carrying out of which there are not at hand persons with the right formation and preparation will necessarily come to nothing."

The Institute for Pastoral Theology provides instruction in the theological, spiritual, and pastoral principles of the Catholic Tradition that must guide the exercise of the gifts that the Spirit bestows for service in the Church.
